Evil *is* impressive

This might not look too impressive, until I tell you that it is made of sand, and that a fully grown man squatting on Satan’s shoulder would only come up to the top of it’s head.

This take on Satan was created by Ray Villafane for the 2009 Dante’s Inferno themed Sand Sculpture Festival in Jesolo (Venice) Italy. Besides this monstrosity, Ray has done sculpting work for Sideshow Collectibles, DC Direct, McFarlane Toys, and Bowen Designs. He is also the creator of this well known Predator pumpkin.

To understand the magnitude and detail of this amazing work, please click here to see some detailed photos of the process.

Where was this during Halloween?

Shredder Hoodie” available at 80’s tees

While the knobby “spikes” might be humourous, the rest of this Shredder Hoodie is completely awesome! Check out the detail on the hood replicating Shredder’s samurai-esque helmet - and the purple back is a great way to do the cape! Totally hilar-awsome!

Paper fight!

Teehee! Static Cubeecraft figures are fantastic. Dynamic, caught-in-action Street Fighter foldees are even better! I love Ken doing the splits and Ryu performing a hadouken! You can download them by clicking the link in the lower left hand corner of the Street Fighter official site. Enjoy!

Just when I thought I was out-they pull me back in

Wow.. this March cover of Red Robin really makes me wish I was still reading Bat-titles. Am I kidding myself that it will be just as fun to read in 6 months when all the trades come out? Are these stories good enough thatpeople will still be willing to discuss them with me then?

Or should I go to the Bridge City Comics and open a box and start collecting comics again…? *groan*

Got to wear them all! Mar-i-o!

Mario’s Closet” shirt, up for vote at SplitReason
I have to admit there are a few suits I don’t recognize… can you name them all?

What about those who didn’t go to Hogworts?

o_O

I want to see this movie SO badly. No joke. Also, I love that people with a lot of money give it to other people to make stuff like this. Makes me have hope for the world :)

Can it be May now, please?

*SWOON*

I haven’t seen Sherlock Holmes yet, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say that if all Robert Downey Jr. made for the rest of his life was sequels to Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes, the world would be better for it.

This looks like another incredibly charismatic and fun movie - everything I loved about Iron Man.

Now for some fretting: Seeing Don Cheadle in the War Machine armor was a little.. odd, but I’m willing to hold off judgment. I had hoped to see something from Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow that we hadn’t seen before, but I will have to wait for that too. I also have concerns that Olivia Munn will be playing Melina Vostokoff, aka The Iron Maiden, a Russian agent who was overshadowed by the Black Widow and thus wanted to kill her. God forbid Johansson and Munn have any scenes together - neither could act their way out of a box…

But I get ahead of myself.. for now.. I will just *SWOON*

Selina’s gone to the dogs…

Adam Hughes will do anything for charity. Or at least he’ll turn Selina Kyle into Old English Sheepdog Woman to support the Old English Sheepdog Rescue Network of the South East. Inspired by his own two sheepdogs, Adam Hughes offered this 20″ X 14″ piece up for auction raising $2,551.00! For a closer look, go to Adam Hughes’ Deviant Art page.

ps. Yewoch, AH! Tell us how you really feel about Selina’s baby!
