These fuzzy mogwai sneakers and scaly gremlin sneakers are being produced by Reebok for the 25th anniversary of Gremlins. I think these shoes are a pretty big miss as the mogwai shoes look like cow print and the gremlin shoes hardly have any of the gremlin texture to them, but they are still hilarious!
It would super rad if the first time you stepped in a puddle in the mogwai shoes the fur all melted off revealing the gremlin shoes!

It’s rare that I discover a new webcomic that tickles my fancy, and even more rare that I find one that inspires me to read their entire archive! Hijinks Ensue is one of those comics. I feel so silly for not discovering it sooner considering I had already featured one of their shirts here on the NerdPatrol! Go check it out for some excellent skewering of all things geek!

And now I can have it for a mere $3 million. Yup, that’s right! The modern delight that Cameron lived in in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is up for auction. Looking over the interior pictures, it is simply gorgeous. Almost makes it worth living in Illinois!
ps. in leiu of the house I would totally take the Ferrari!

via scalzi, thanks cyl!

If I were a dude, I would probably say something like, “These daleks can exterminate me anytime!”, but since I’m not I’m going to just stick with, “What a trio of Hottie McHottersons! I absolutely love that they managed to make adorable dalek costumes while still retaining spot on recognition.
If you need any further reason to love these ladies, they have also cosplayed an all female version of Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along-Blog!

Pardon me if this rant is incomprehensible, but my blood boiling makes it hard for me to think straight.
The remake is the genre of the 2000’s, everyone knows that. Every year it becomes bolder as it recycles more and more current material. A movie’s only 20 years old? RIPE for a remake! But this latest move is unconscionable.
Fran Rubel Kuzui, the director of the 1992 film version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (written by then-unknown Joss Whedon) has maintained the film rights and is going to use them to make a remake/relaunch of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer. As of yet, it will not involve any of the actors/actresses from any of the previous versions, nor is Joss Whedon involved in any way.
With the rabid cult like addiction millions of fans have to Whedon’s version of Buffy, I don’t see how even Kuzui’s money-blinded eyes can think this will work out. I honestly cannot enunciate the mixture of rage and confusion this fills me with. I’m going to go burn some effigies, regroup myself and see if I can process this news any better…
(tip from Mr. Ring of Bridge City Comics - thanks!)
Work is totally nuts and I probably won’t be posting as often this week. So, in supplication for your forgiveness, I’m going to make sure all my posts are top notch!
This is a totally nuts clip from Mythbusters of them vaporizing a car. My very favorite part is when it’s all over, the first stage of the rocket comes piling in yelling, “I’m here guys! I made it too!” (or at least that’s what it says when I watch it…)
Okay, not really, but I think it would be great! Made by talented superfan Jaron Pitts, this trailer does an amazing job of test driving Nathan Fillion as Hal Jordan - Green Lantern. It’s genious!! Picture a less experienced 1950s Mal - sounds kinda perfect doesn’t it?

God. Where do I even begin.
Not everything has to be sexy.
Sure, I can see Sexy Nurse or Sexy Burglar or even Sexy Zombie.
But this guy? C’mon people. Put it back in your pants.

(if you think I’m wrong or would like to shop the rather cute Star Trek corsets, go here)
Amazingly horrifying Silent Hill Cosplay Pictures by Judith Stephens.
Adorable Kirby cake, huh? So cute, you could hardly stand to cut into, huh?
OR COULD YOU??
