Genius. For those of you that don’t like having to stare at your tv all day (weirdos) or want to be able to hide it when guests come over (can you say denial?), this is a really clever solution. I love my tv and show it off to all my friends, but this is appealing to even me. In case the picture isn’t quite obvious enough, this nicely styled chunk of a bookcase has a screen that pulls down within it’s frame. It appears to be well executed - which it should be since it costs $1200 on sale.

I admit it, I’m a button masher. Under pressure in video games I crack and cannot remember complicated sequences of buttons. So I mash. I’m not proud, but I’ll still kick your ass. Okay, maybe I am proud, because I really want this “Button Masher” shirt from Penny Arcade.

I’m just not ready to let go yet!

Sigourney Weaver’s replacement in the upcoming Atari game, “Ghostbusters” has been announced - Alyssa Milano! After Sigourney hesitated and lost, Atari created a new heroine/Bill Murray love interest for the game: Ilyssa Selwyn, an expert in Sumerian and pre-Sumerian cultures and guest curator for the highly anticipated ‘World of Gozer’ exhibition.
The game will be available on every console known to man on June 16th, to coincide with the 25th anniversary celebration of the film’s original theatrical release.

Nevermind that it’s written by Warren Ellis. Don’t get caught up in it’s steampunk stylings. This comic is honest to goodness interesting character writing, and I love it. As noted above, it’s the story of eleven uniquely powerful young adults (one has yet to appear), that appear to have accidentally ended the world, and are now doing what they can for a small group of survivors in a town called Whitechapel. Six new pages come out weekly for online reading and one collected trade has been released. Please go check it out.

The true toll on fighting pokemon has been exposed by Justin White (aka Jublin). It all seemed so harmless. Did you really think Pikachu would just get a “#” on his head after being slammed by Charizard’s tail? Did Bulbasaur turning a bit black after taking the brunt of Ninetales fireball attack seem realistic? And really, what did you think the end result of all those head injuries would be for poor little Psyduck?
Knowing is half the battle. Inform yourself here.

I’ve fallen woefully behind on these, but you know it’s going to crack you up, so go get it! (as if you didn’t know this was referring to Episode #6 of the Penny Arcade/PvP/Wil Wheaton D&D Podcast)
