I’m a girl who like figures of pretty girls. But I’m also very picky. I’ve really tried to like the Ame Comi figures. The new takes on the ladies of DC are always interesting and attractive in the previews, but typically disappointing in reality. The level of detail is too low for a nine inch figure - they would be gorgeous at seven inches.
The next two in the Ame Comi line being solicited are another Batgirl (based on Cassandra this time rather than Barbara) and another Catwoman (based on the 80’s rather than the 00’s). I find the Catwoman more appealing of the two, but don’t understand the hightech touches of an ear antenna and mechaboots. Once again, not for me.

Many people have been telling me that I should be reading Scott Pilgrim. Evidently, it is the tale of a 24-year-old Canadian slacker, hero, wannabe-rockstar, who falls in love with American delivery girl, but must defeat her seven “evil ex-boyfriends” in order to date her. I’m told that shenanigans get quite out of hand. But, being the art whore that I am, I was never able to get that drawn into the simplified art style (I like the pretty!).
But now I’ve heard that Edgar Wright is making a movie adaptation. Don’t know who Edgar Wright is? He directed some little movies you might have heard of called Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz! Color me interested!
This revelation in turn lead me to Edgar’s IMDB page where it was revealed that he is also in line to direct an Ant-Man movie!!! I *pray* that this will be based on The Irredeemable Ant-Man as Edgar Wright could handle that perfectly! (and no one wants to see a Ultimate wife-beating Ant-Man, or regular continuity “I’m a Yellow-Jacket! No, I’m Giant Man! No, I’m the Wasp! No, I’m a Skrull!” Ant-Man movie)

What would you spent $400,000 on? A house? A Ferrari? How about an a copy of the first appearance of Superman? Going up for auction today, this copy of Action Comic #1 is the rarest of rare. It is one of only 20 known in existence to be unretouched and one of only five known CGC Graded copies with a grade above VG (CGC 4.0). The Ferrari comment was an actual offer of trade made to the current owner which was refused. Maybe they would have accepted a Bugatti Veyron.

I love fight games. I love them because I’m not very good at video games. There, I’ve said it. I love that I can mash the buttons and make flashy things happen and occasionally win. I’m that jerk.
I’m thankful to have this handy flowchart for when I finally get my hands on Street Fighter IV.

I think I’ve discovered where the extra “T”s come from in HOTTT. They come from this Yoko Littner figure. I admit that I haven’t watched the anime she is from (Gurren Lagann/Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann), but tons of delicious figure have been coming out. This one is at the top of my list. She’s on pre-order sale over at Hobby Search for a steep $78.

I have fallen in love with Neil Patrick Harris many times over. From his introspective stylings on what would retrospectively be recognized as the origin of the blog to his legend-wait for it-dary presence in HIMYM to his respectable performance on the all but horrific SNL, there was reason after reason for me to swept head over heels.
But the true definitive moment was at the beginning of the song “Brand New Day” in Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. Immortalized in this adorable cross stitch, the moment I truly and deeply feel in love will live on forever. (if you haven’t watched Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, go buy it now - I offer a money back guarantee of awesomeness for it and its soundtrack

**Filed under “Reasons I Love Paul Rudd”**
Reason #27: Paul Rudd starred in a cutting edge movie called Gen-Y Cops (Tejing xinrenlei 2) where he has to stop a rampaging robot while rocking large hair, miami vice suits and dissing the incompetent Hong Kong government. Prepare to have your mind blown as he utters such memorable lines as, “Yeah, keep on flappin’ dickhead, you’re the one on the way to the bamboo alcatraz.” And if seeing Paul Rudd doing kung-fu wire work isn’t doing it for you, skipping ahead to minute 6:00 where the amazing CGI takes over! Look out for that wave!!!
(this movie was made in 2000 - wtf?)

First there was the startling revelation that Leonardo DiCaprio was going to making a live action version of Ninja Scroll. Then we hear that Akira will be getting the same treatment. Somewhere in the middle of that he also toyed with the idea of remaking the Twilight Zone. Now comes news down the grapevine that he’s showing interest in restarting the Neverending Story franchise. Tell me honestly - who want to see a CGI Falkor? Not me.
(yes, I made that amazing pic :)

Like the 3d of the internet, everything is better as an animated GIF. These beauts are by Australian Paul Robertson. Beware that these are the PG-rated samples from his portfolio. Among his non-animated but still adorable creations are the entire cast of Persona 3 and some scenes from a deadly movie he’s working on.

One of the funniest meme’s ever (second only to the walrus and his fateful bukkit) is the EPIC FAIL. Formerly reserved only for sinking ships and car accidents, FAIL is now being brought out from the safety of the internet and into the real world in the form of 6 x 3/5″ stickers. Where have you seen FAIL today?

I have a general love for all things teeny and all things gigantor - thus this mini NES and SNES made by Lego Guy is right up my alley! I’m totally impressed by the inclusion of the SNES cartridge and detail work on the controller and R.O.B.. Props!
